Starting Bocchi the Rock. Never watched it before. I see Bocchi memes every day, so I'm curious about it

Which is retarded. I LOATHE K-shit. Except for "Pop Stars" by KDA (that song from League of Legends). I have a guilty pleasure soft spot for that song. Even K-gaming? Stellar Blade seems to be a K Game. That said, it seems "okay." I'm pretty particular with my gaming, tbh. I don't have a lot of free time or free money to spend on shitty games, so when I *DO* go to buy one, I do my research on it first. The ONLY game I think I went in completely blind on was Bravely Default on the 3DS. I saw the artwork and a review headline that said: "Squenix retvrns to tradition with Bravely Default", and that shit sold me. Wasn't disappointed in the least. On that reputation I bought BD 2nd Layer, BD 2 and Octopath Traveler 1+2 on Switch (but I had read reviews from a site I trust on those). I don't have a PS5, though, otherwise I'd probably buy Stellar Blade, just for the fact that the character designs are pissing off the troons and fags infiltrating the gaming industry. But then I'd have to spend money on Sony, something I swore I wouldn't do after their crusade for censorship in gaming. Last PS game I bought was Ghost of Tsushima. Ngl....I REALLY want Rise of the Ronin on PS5 though...

Though, if someone buys me something, I'll try to play through it. I don't always make it, though. I bounced hard on some stuff and suffered through others until I hit a point where I bounced.

I'm something like 7 episodes into Edgerunners, and I'm still enjoying it.
The time skip feels a bit cheap, but I understand they were working with a limited budget/run. I wanted to see David's slow transformation into a full cyborg. That said, it's still enjoyable.
Ultimately, it doesn't really feel like an "anime," but more like a cartoon.

Yeah the time skip was odd, but unavoidable. But it gets into the meat real quick (no pun intended). And yeah...I think Trigger was wanting something that would appeal to weebs, gamers, and normies simultaneously. I think they pulled it off well. It does feel a little less like an "anime", per se, but that doesn't bother me so much. There's enough of Trigger's fingerprints all over it to be recognizable.

> Time skip > Coming of age story > Boring romance with clearly more fun option > Wacky animation > A main character dies halfway through
This just feels like cyberpunk Gurren Lagann (but much better).

Literally EXACTLY what it is, and I ain't mad about it one bit. Shit was fun, man. Wife actually loved it so much she wants to watch it for a third time (her first time EVER wanting to rewatch an anime for a THIRD time). Also- meme moment in the last episode. Happens REALLY fast that you're like "WHAT THE FUCK", but definitely a meme moment. Excited to hear your thoughts on the ending.

I expect him to die, but we'll see. It also has some beautiful scenic shots. In the most recent one I watched, I got maybe a few frames of Rebecca against a graffiti-tagged wall, just looking cool. The art direction is on point.

Ahh, yes. Golden Boy... A classic. For Haruhi watch the first, MAYBE the second, and the final episode of Endless 8, skip the 5 in the middle, trust me on this lol Nah... watch it ALL. But watch it in order AIRED. How is Solo Leveling? It seems really popular. Below average, but has violence.

I watched it in cannon order as A that's what the site I used had and I didn't feel like looking aroum=nd, and B, it's more straight forward lol

Why does the order matter that much on Haruhi? Was there anything important about the airing order?

I don't know, but I feel like David dies, and they ask him/the audience, "So, how was the simulation? Do you want to buy it?"

Why does the order matter that much on Haruhi? Was there anything important about the airing order? It aired "out of order" rather than chronological order that the DVDs were. I regret not watching it in the order the episodes AIRED. I offer this as a suggestion. Having seen it all, I believe it would be better to watch in the order it aired. Out-of-order makes it more interesting.

It kind of sucked, in my opinion. It's not because of what happened. I expected that. It just felt rushed and ill-fitted. It wasn't dark enough to be a full on cyberpunk scenario. It wasn't happy enough to be an "everyone lives" ending. Instead, it was middling to me- trying to be bittersweet, but ultimately leaving me with a character I don't care about. It was still a good show. It's not amazing, but it's definitely good. However, the ending was fumbled.
