You'll just have to watch and see, my dude. It kind of sucked, in my opinion. It's not because of what happened. I expected that. It just felt rushed and ill-fitted. It wasn't dark enough to be a full on cyberpunk scenario. It wasn't happy enough to be an "everyone lives" ending. Instead, it was middling to me- trying to be bittersweet, but ultimately leaving me with a character I don't care about. It was still a good show. It's not amazing, but it's definitely good. However, the ending was fumbled. Replied in the thread haha

Why does the order matter that much on Haruhi? Was there anything important about the airing order? There's the occasional "call back" or IG it'd be foreshadowing, I can't compare as the site I used had it in cannon order and that's what I watched it in. Example below but obviously it's a slight spoiler. For example in the baseball episode Kozumi suggests using the same solution he used to stop Haruhi inadvertently to Kyon and Kyon refuses, that's because it was in the season finale him kissing her lol which was several episdoes later in airing order but before obviously in cannon

That really seemed like the latest point in Haruhi's character arc.

Is there a timeline out there, or is it that the production order doesn't match the airing order?

Perhaps, when they were finished, they found it made more sense/worked better narratively that way?

This is why (ignoring season 2) you watch in the order AIRED. Because it ends with episode 6 as 14 which gives it a fulfilling END.

Just as well. I find revival anime and such to be lackluster to the original.
