It gets a lot of guff for being ecchi, but Queen's Blade (original) is actually really good. The first season (12 episodes) is just okay, but the second has a lot of interlinked character arcs, emotional moments, and hype action. People also don't know about the 70's Neo-human Casshan (or just Casshan). It was a massively influential wandering-samurai style piece about a man who is turned into a robot. Stuff like Mega Man, Metal Gear Rising, and Vanquish all have roots in it. |

Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo ^ I only recommend this AFTER Code Geass since there are some jokes that reference back to it. (both Sunrise studio) For more mecha+strategy: Gundam 00 These are not "hidden" gems... I need more to go off of than just "Code Geass" before recommending more obscure stuff. |
