Just watched Chainsaw Man, my first time. Had trouble getting into it at first, but from episode 6= on, just wow. Just awesome I dropped it after a few episodes. I haven't seen anything on the internet to change my mind. |

I haven't seen anything on the internet to change my mind. I watched an episode. I couldn't stand the animation style. I gave the manga a shot. However, I found the "use demons to fight demons" angle hypocritical/contradictory, the characterization being lacking, and deaths being meaningless. |

I finished Solo Leveling.
Pretty solid below-average anime (4/10).
I also finished 7th Time Loop: The Villainess Enjoys a Carefree Life Married to Her Worst Enemy!
Slipped from average to below by the end. Rishe best-girl of the season. <3

Ugh...I hate it when shows do that. I'll give it a whirl soon. Finished catching up on JJK, really solid. Started rewatching Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress with my wife and kid (my 3rd time, daughter's 2nd, wife's 1st). Such an underrated gem, IMO. Shame it never got a second season after the film. There's a movie?  I should watch that sometime... Oh! First 2 movies are recap of the TV show, 3rd is new. Wonder if the movies are the better way to watch... (already seen TV) First Kabaneri movie... pretty good for a recap... because it's pretty much the same as the TV show, but with surround sound.  The only thing I think shouldn't have been there was the new intro that revealed how badass Mumei is too soon, whereas in the TV show this waited until episode 2 (which was still in the movie, they would have been stupid to remove/rewrite that scene). Not that it was "bad"... it was great... it just didn't belong in the first 3 minutes.... ruins the reveal. |

Started re-watching Gundam Wing during my work days (I work from home and no one can stop me). I picked it out of nostalgia and it has a dub I can stomach. Hilarious how when I was a kid I thought it was absolutely the best, rushing home from school to watch it on Toonami and staying up late for the uncensored Midnight Run episodes. Now that I'm an adult, it's so bad. Like...horrifically bad. Not quite as bad as the Evangelion dub, imo, but still pretty damn bad.
Nostalgia's a helluva drug.

Finally got around to finishing Metallic Rouge. It was pretty consistent all the way through. Above above-average. I quite enjoyed watching it.  I wasn't expecting much, it's Bones studio after all. I got what I expected. Cute girls doing action things, but otherwise only a step above the typical medocre Bones studio production. The OP/ED songs are fire! Now I can read that other thread I've been avoiding to avoid spoilers. |

I think the events seem to detached from the main character at that point. The betrayal part hit really well, but the main character doesn't seem all that interesting.
