Fate does touch on it but it's mainly Western myths covered funnily enough. There's a lot that's mythology-themed, but without getting into the meat of it. Like, a lot of stuff mentioned Excalibur, but doesn't really bother with the mythology of it. |

I don't know what these things are. Some sort of Japanese mythology I would assume. If it had been referenced in anime I would have at least heard of these things by now. The Izanami/Izanagi thing gets referenced in Noragami, but very briefly. As far as Kaguya goes, Love and War is referential to it, yet doesn't have the meat of it- unless aliens show up and take Kaguya away at the end. |

The closest you're going to get is anime involving shrine maidens. It may be 80 years after the Humanity Declaration but there are still those who don't want to blaspheme the ancient ways.

It's a shame, because there's a lot of mythology to work with. The only stuff I really see directly is stuff like yoma, but not directly dealing with their mythology. Then ghosts are a whole other touchy subject. |
