I think Burst was only a digital release here. Deep Crimson is still fairly cheap for a DS game. It has a nice combo system where you playas a character and the computer as the other, but you can swap at will.

I just finished the Nights of Azure 2. I got the "bad" ending, but I then watched the "good" ending on YouTube and it is debatable if that is any "better". Both are "Asian" endings, the world is saved at a cost. Anyway though the game is dated, and there is some fantasy girl love, I still would recommend it. Now onto the next game, between my programming of a game engine.

Gunsoul Girl 2 looks like it might be a nice piece of cheap unity-fueled fun. Unfortunately it's in early access.

I played Bloodlines Magicians Chase 2 on the switch. It was a 6 dollar sale. While the game is a bit short with only 7 levels, and the controls are a bit sluggish, this is a lovely indie game with 8 bits Master system like graphics and big sprites.
It is a straight Castlevania clone, where The Church is presented in a good light and one of the six main characters is a strong nun. There are even Japanese voice actors for all characters. A fun little romp, recommend even at the normal price of 10 dollars!

I bought Gunsoul Girls. It was...okay. I liked the look of everything. It's wasn't too jank, aside from some crashes. It just wasn't very interesting. It seems like a gatcha game, but you don't have to spend money.

For me, since I am a programmer I enjoy well crafted games that don't use Unity nor Unreal, even if these are indie games with a self crafted engine. Famous engines have a tendency to be to generic, games with custom engines tend to be better.

Famous engines have a tendency to be to generic, games with custom engines tend to be better. I've seen good indie Unity stuff. I think a lot of it relates to how much dev experience the person has. Some games can be simple, but engrossing. For example, this guy mostly made puzzle games (or something like that) before. Meanwhile, the guy who made Crawling Lab (fun game), has a good amount of experience with 3D games.

I the latest Zelda game on cart. The funny part is that Zelda you play Zelda in stead of Link, but she is weak and needs to clone monsters to fight for her. She can throw stones, though. It is an extremely polished, very large game that anyone could enjoy, even children. It might be a bit on the easy side but it has a hard difficulty setting if you like.

I found out that there was also a Magicians Chase 1 on the switch. It was about 7 dollar full price. While the game is a short with only 5 levels, for some reason the controls are better than the 2, and again it is a lovely indie game with 8 bits Master system like graphics and big sprites.
This time it is more of a Megaman clone, the first of 6 main characters is a robot maid. Unlike in the 2 you cannot switch characters during a level, but each level has different benefits and challenges depending on the character. No voice actors this time, but still a fun little romp, recommend even at the normal price.
Actually it turns out the game has 6 additional levels aftrr you brat the end boss, and they are not just rehashed, but even better than the first 5. So it is a great value.
