It's been a minute since we had a fresh post, but I still love it.
Assault Spy
I can highly recommend Assault Spy as a character action game. The American character is great. It's like DMC4 is it were made by a Japanese indie team.
Oneechanbara Origin / Onechanbara Z2 Chaos
Bothe are hanck'n'slash games. The former (Origin) relies more on parries and dodges, like a character action game. The later (Z2) is more in the vein of a musou. Both are somewhat technical, have great OSTs, and are just a ton of fun.
Senran Kagura series
Just play it- especially Deep Crimson
God Eater 2: Rage Burst
It's like Monster Hunter, but a lot more dynamic and fun (IMO). It has a great OST by Go Shiina. Nana is best girl.

Only ones I've touched in ANY sort of recent memory is Fate Extra and Fate Extra CCC, they're good IMO. Attachments:

Actually I forgot about it but Berserk Band of the Hawk too, it sucks, it's a Musou where you're stuck with one playable character throughout most of it and there's only 6 as a whole. Attachments:

Action TaimaninYou know what it is. Angel Legion - Idle RPGIt's pretty much waifu battle simulator. New free outfit DLCs every week. Most of my time lately has been going to Snowbreak. (3rd person shooter) Acacia best girl <3 Let's see what else... X-BladesThe InitialInitial 2

You might be the only one I've ever met that played X-Blades. I've eyeballed it. Is it any good?
Schoolgirl Zombie Hunter is pretty simple, but it's also a lot of fun. I would say it's very "arcadey." So, if you like stuff like that, where you get into action quickly, I think you'll have a lot of fun.
I never heard of Angel Legion. You say it's free? Is it very predatory?

I did download and try Angel Legion. It seems more like a gatcha than an idle game. It seems to be very similar to Aeon Echo.

Is it very predatory? I posted my X-Blades playthrough... it's exactly what you see. It's one of my favorite games. Very fun and great soundtrack. Better than the sequel... which is also not anime themed anymore. Playthrough of that is on my youtube as well. So you're saying I should stop being stingy and just by Schoolgirl Zombie Hunter already because I am sure to enjoy it? and it clearly has a good soundtrack. Angel Legion, Action Taimanin, and Snowbreak are all gatchas. I don't spend real money on any of them. The trick is to just be patient and wait it out. Angel Legion is what I "play" while doing other internet things because you just start the battle and let the waifus do the rest. It's pointless. Action Taimanin got grindy so I rarely even bother with it now. I got lucky and happened to log in when Su's winter outfit was available and I had the gems to afford it. So yay! I've been putting a LOT of time into Snowbreak due to the current event. I did download and try Angel Legion. It seems more like a gatcha than an idle game. It seems to be very similar to Aeon Echo. Yes, but in 3d.

I did Action Taimanin up to level 70 on Asagi and some of Renko. I enjoyed it well enough. Plus, it's fun beating up robots.
I also have a no money rule on gatchas. If something is too anti-F2P, I drop it. A lot seem to be like that.
SGZH is pretty fun. It's extremely simple, but that's the charm. Plus, it's fun messing worth all of the guns (even though they're simple). It feels like Tamsoft going back to the Simple Series.

There are a lot of anime style games on the Switch. The Atelier series is beautiful although depending on the installment, it tends to lack good male characters. I'm playing Samurai Maiden now, girls fighting demons. It is funny and has the original Japanese voices. www.nintendo.com/us/store/products/samurai-maiden-switch/ It does have fansevice though, I bought the package version because it was cheaper but that has the swimsuits, which I don't recommend as they are a risk for our chastity.

The game is a mix of a kinetic novel with a lot of banter, and an action game with light RPG elements and with fighting and jumping sections. The banter is fun and even moreso if you can understand spoken Japanese, the action is simple but exciting. It isn't worth full price but I could get it at a 50% reduction online, at which it becomes interesting.
